Mayor in Residence – BEAUTY ABOVE ALL
A continuous day-and-night performance of 18 months’ duration as a campaign to become Mayor of Holstebro for the newly established party KUNSTPARTIET (the Art Party) Giuseppe L. Bonifati and Linda Sugataghy are artists from Italy and Hungary respectively, both of whom live in Holstebro, campaigning as candidates to become Mayor under the name Jeppe and the First Lady in the period from 1st of January 2016 – 30th of June 2017. The aim is to create an artistic and esthetical interaction between the citizens and “Mayor Jeppe and the First Lady”. Jeppe and the First Lady wish to visit families and institutions in different parts of the city. Each month they focus on a specific topic such as economy, education, health, public work or housing. The project culminates during the Holstebro Festuge 2017: The Wild West – Roots and Shoots 2017 with a list of events.
